The Ultimate Julie Movie

Click on the link to read all about a movie that Julie might actually stay awake for.
Sean Astin (Rudy, Mikey, Samwise Gamgee) is going to star in what's being billed as "Baseball's version of Hoosiers." Baseball and Sean Astin? What more could a girl ask for?

The director's claim to fame was directing "The Sandlot." Not a very impressive resume. However, The Sandlot was baseball related and that's probably good enough for Julie even without Senior Austin aboard.

I've never seen The Sandlot. I don't need to see a dog's balls up close and personal. However, this movie may continue my tradition of Sean Astin sports movies. I will cut out every picture I can find of him and paste them all over my locker at school. Go Cubs Go!

whoa whoa whoa! do NOT knock the sandlot. the following things make it great:

1. a kid who looks like pheno, a high school classmate
2. karen allen
3. denis leary
4. karen allen

also, i know every line. or at least i used to. i'm sure i can get it back.

Denis "The Penis" Leary? Karen Allen? Some kid from your high school? Whoopdie-freakin-doo! I'll stick with "Rookie of the Year" anyday. At least it's about the Cubs

denis leary would wail on gary busey, and there's a whole team of kids ready to show henry rowengartner what it's all about.

the sandlot is a touching and honest portrait of summer in america. it reminds me of being a kid. rookie of the year is full of medical impossibilities. oh, and the cubs win the world series but we don't get to see it? square.

"a square, benny. the kid's a square."
"an L7 weenie!"
"yeah, yeah! oscar mayer even!"
