Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (**)

What can you say about Cheaper by the Dozen 2? If you go see this movie, you should know what you're getting. It's not whole family entertainment. It's mostly for little kids, and I don't even think they'll like it that much. It mostly just occupies your time for an hour and a half. Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt, and Eugene Levy are clearly just getting a paycheck here. Funny though how Steve Martin feels like he can play a real person in comedies, but not in dramas. Yes, I'm talking to you Shopgirl. I was hoping this movie would at least have the comedic bite of the John Candy/Dan Aykroyd starrer The Great Outdoors, whose story it has clearly taken from, but alas. We're treated to just another family movie with too many kids doing too many obnoxious things. The presence of Hillary Duff certainly doesn't help. I will say this though: it's better than the first Cheaper by the Dozen. Take that for what it's worth.
